PHP equivalent of ASP Session.LCID

Hi,

I know a bit of ASP but NOTHING in php.

I was wondering if any of you knew what is the equivalent (if any) to the ASP session.LCID wich allow dates from a mySql database to be displayed according to the server date settings (ie english).
