caught this on the php.net mainpage, felt it was quite interesting

PHP is very pleased to announce that seven students have been chosen for the Google 'Summer of Code'. Through this project, Google provides student developers with a stipend to create new open source programs or to help currently established projects like PHP. The students are each mentored by members of our community, who will look after the students and their projects step by step.

The inaugural instance of the program, which took place last summer, brought together 400 students and 40 mentoring organizations from 49 countries. We'd like to include even more organizations and participants this year.

I count only 6 projects currently being worked on there with one student, one mentor each. So the Summer of Code Project is down from last year a bit I take it? Or am I missing something?
