can't load mssql.dll

Hi every body,
I want to use mssql but I can't load mssql.dll
when I tried phpinfo(); the MSSQL dosn't appear .
I removed the comment next to extension=php_mssql.dll
but nothing seems to happen .
I'm using php 4.2.1 , with windows and apache.

any ideas?

does mssql.dll exists in your php4 extension directory?

I loaded a new copy of php.ini and it works.
looks I had a problem with my old copy .
