Hello,

I'm looking at a few different pre-written scripts (not writing my own) and one company I am looking at is Beyond Solutions.

The PHP version I'm looking at is phpprobid.

Their (Beyond) script is written in Cold Fusion and claim it is much more efficient than PHP, ASP or Perl.

I want to know if this is indeed true.

I have no idea...I'm just trying to make a prudent buying decision.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld racerman28,

one thing is you would have to have coldfusion server to run it, which costs some money.

In my experience nothing in CF runs more efficiently than an equivalent script in either php or perl. I have worked with some very experienced CF coders and they have always told me the same thing, they only used CF because they liked some of the features. I think they are all coding PHP now.

specially PHP gives you a MAGICAL tool(i must say) called cURL, which helps a lot in writing online real time auction scripts and snipe bidding scripts.
