PHP Image Replace

Hello all!
Is there anyway I can have a image in my signature of my forums so that when you click this little square of colour the image is replaced by another. Please remember I'm not very good at PHP.

I don't totally understand what you mean but I am thinking that you mean a sig image that onclick swaps to something else with out reloading the page?

If it does not reload the page then you would have to use a client side scripting solution like javascript.

I am understanding correctly?
