Weird extra markins on posted form values

Hello!

I made this shoutbox thing. But it appeared that there is a bug I can't find out.

When member with non-protected name posts a message, it appears on my "flags" like:

I'm Tomi --> I\'m Tomi

But it's normal again after the page has saved it to mysql.

But for members with protected names (registered account) post, the flags show the error again, but this time, the error appears in the shoutbox.

I'm tomi --> I\'m Tomi

And after multiple password retriess, the amount of those lines grow expotentionally:

I\' tomi
I\\' Tomi
I\\\\' Tomi
I\\\\\\\\\\\\' Tomi
I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' Tomi
I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' Tomi

What is my problem and how should I deal with it? It's really annoying bug.

Use stripslashes() and/or turn off magic quotes.
