This isn't a post asking for, or giving, any help, suggestions, advice or anything else. This post might even get deleted...

2005 was a banner year for the most part. I got myself a copy of the PHP Bible and buried myself in this forum, and into the applications I was creating, as well as the web sites I am (was) maintaining. To my benefit I have a programming background, and that made the learning curve much easier.

The end of 2005 saw some unforseen and dramatic changes, and now I barely have time to skim this forum, even less time to actually create something useful. Maintaining my own code requires setting aside a block of time.

For all of this, I can only reiterate that this forum has been more helpful than any other source. It's time to say thanks to Jatar, and Coopster and Ergophobe for keeping it all together, and to everyone else for helping when and where you could.

Here's to a return to programming in 2006, somehow, somewhere. Happy coding!

Oh, and I finally got the MySQL server re-installed. What a mess.... :)

Grandpa, I do remember reading about your earlier biz “tremors”

I am on the same boat

Most of what I know (or as I like to say I think I know until the next project calls for a post!) I owe it the same great bunch of guys
Coopster, Ergophobe and Jatar,
Not to forget all the WebmasterWorld PHP members community that spend countless time helping and guiding.

I like to come here to learn and discuss and not to get/ask for a script to paste
Nothing can be learned from a copy paste experience, although I understand that to become proficient in the art of scripting requires lot of dedication but self reward is at stake :)

At this point I would like adding a little consideration:
I figured that the more I know the more I need to learn; why: My scripts are becoming more and more complicated, I get more out of them but start to think that I can even do it better and at a sudden going a step further calls for a new learning session and posting and expecting that the "Cavalry" will come to the rescue.

Happy New Year WebMasterWorld,
