Hello,

Can anyone suggest some good php web sites to get me started and on my way or a great book that I can read?

Thanks,

Jason

I learned PHP by reading the following wrox press book: Professional PHP4 Programming

I highly recommend it. Don't be fooled by the title, even though it says "professional" it starts out at a very basic level by only assuming that you know HTML and a little bit about how the internet/web servers work.

I first PHP book I bought was also the Professional PHP4 Programming. O'reilly has a few good ones also.

Whats your experience of programming in general?

If it's moderate to advanced I would recommend the Wrox books.

If it is lower than this take a look at "Build Your Own Database Driven Website Using PHP & MySQL" on Sitepoint.com.
