PPC Pro and Other Bid Management Programs?

After downloading PPC Pro (non Overture), there have been problems with the program itself (i.e. lagging, freezing up, not removing certain keywords, etc.) Has anyone else had the same software problems? Also, what other PPC Bid Management Programs are recommended?

I'd really like to know if there is any way of speeding up the processes on PPC Pro. With some accounts/BM groups, just trying to sort them by category, keyword, etc. will freeze up the entire program. Would it be easier to go 1 BM group per AdGoup if that AdGroup contains a max number of keywords? Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Pyretta, for what it's worth, I deal with top 1000 ppc advertisers all day long, and I've yet to hear anyone using PPCPro. If it's a self-service bid mgmt tool you're after, the ones I hear regularly are:

AtlasOnePoint (GoToast)
KeywordMax
Did-It

and that's *it*.

I tried PPC pro, didnt like it. We use Dynamic Bid Max it seems to work pretty well. Anyone else using this?

I've used PPC Pro and Dynamic Bid Maximizer.

Out of all the ones I've used, I still only use and recommend BidRank, but it is very pricey. Well worth it though in terms of the money I've saved.

How much have you saved and how? I use dynamic for about 5 clients. Should i think about switching?

I use BidRank. It's quite expensive but the task is far too big to do manually and I'm sure it pays off. It's not the best piece of software in the world but it does work.

We have spent quite a bit for Dynamic. If i remember about 600/700. It looks like bidrank has a similar pricing structure so the costs offset each other.

As far as the software itself goes. Bidrank seems to do the exact same thing as dynamic. If someone could clarify the differences it would be appreciated.
Things Dynamic Does:
Set specific bid perameters
Adjust times of bids
Add keywords
Some reporting* havent used
Price Gapping* (bid surfing?)

Let me know what you guys think.

Is it true bidrank doesnt support adwords?

If Bidrank relies on Google's Traffic Estimator (which I believe it does), then it can't really work on AdWords, unless the goal is to forgo revenues and profits in order to have ease of administration.

I've yet to see a rules-based bid mgmt tool that actually works on AdWords. By works, I'm mean not merely serving as an interface for the advertiser to make/change bid rules, but actually *helping* the advertiser figure out how to bid in the first place.

With cpc's rising every month, tools need to do something other than enable 'if this, then that' keyword day trading, IMO.
