GPTBot/1.3; +https//openai.com/gptbot is what it's claiming to be, but it hit our site so freakin hard it crashed the server.

That's part of AS8075, Microsoft cloud. And yeah, OpenAI operates thru them.
And yeah, AS8075 has been crazy hyperactive with AI bots, anonymous crawlers, kiddie scripters probing, etc. I had similar issues with Google.
