Ok, I have the site, and I look at my logs, but the search terms people use to find my site are sparatic to say the least.

I have no clue what 'term' would be best for my niche.

...Umm...I'm not even sure how to ask the question since I can't post a link to my site...so, umm...suggestions as to how to find keywords that people search on that could relate to my site...

...I'm confused...

Hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to ask.

Are you trying to decide which terms to add to PPC campaigns? Or are you trying to figure which terms you should SEO your site for?

Overture and AdWords have keyword selection tools. They can be pretty helpful and might give you some ideas.

You might want to see which keywords your competition are targeting.

It is tough to help without knowing specifics but hopefully this helps.

Look at your competitors' sites. Look at the <titles>, meta tags, h tags, text, etc.

That should get you started :)

Here's something specific Gibble - depending on your country, the reference you got to Adwords was a useful little engine. If you're in the UK, the page you'll want is: [content.overture.com...]
Click on search term suggestion tool on the right. To get an idea of the total searches (including Google), multiply this figure by 10.

Happy Hours of Hunting!

You could try the Wordtracker free trial to start with. Enter a relevant word or phrase and it will show you some related ones you might not have thought of. Try again with another word and so on.
