Does SE position suffer?

The THREE keywords that I think people would most use to search for my website would be:-

rent villa "town-name"

But how can I design the content on my page to incorporate the THREE-word phrase when it is obviously more gramatically correct to write/read the FOUR-word phrase :-

"rent villa IN town-name".

This makes it impossible to match my keyword phrase with any of the wording on my page.

Does this mean that the SE's will think that my keywords and page content are not so relevant and therefore my SE position will suffer?

Do any other webmasters have similar problems?

Gramatically correct is always better. Write your titles for your visitors - the title is the first thing they see in the serps. That's what they have to click on.

hitprof,
Would it be better if I put "rent IN town-name" for the keywords as well as on my page?

That's what I think. You can also use town-name villa rentals in some places. You can also mix both versions.

Just watch out for the new kind of Broad Match in Google. Certain phrases perform differently if you leave out the "in" - I started a thread recently in the Adwords forum about a week ago. You can easily do a test to confirm.

I ended up having something similar to "pink widgets in" as a phrase and it had attracted clicks.

anallawalla,
very interesting - I tried to find your thread that mentions the testing - would you be able to post the thread details?
thanks.
