Keyword Optimized Pages

Is it a good idea to create many entry pages

I download a great tool that allows you to see the amount of searches for a particular kw or phrase. its a great tool. In using it, i saw a lot of potential keyword phrases i could be using.

I want to create a page for each of those kw phrases i'm not getting traffic from. The title would be the exact kw phrase, and i will include a little text for that page. There are many many many pages i can be creating like this. I think it will bring me lots of visitors.

Do you think thats a good idea ? or is it just an idea for disaster ?

sounds a good idea - but why not create a decent amount of text, and useful content, for the people that click your link in the SERPs, that way you might get people linking to you, and even more traffic...

I also agree that building more pages for specific keywords is a good idea. Build as many pages as you can for the appropriate keyword or keyword phrase. Just make sure that you have good text to go with each page. Also don’t forget to have the internal links for navigation purposes. That is just as important so the spiders can find all the new pages.

what is the difference between building kw optimized pages and doorway pages? i thought a doorway page was just a point of entry into your site.

Every page has the potential to be a doorway page. If you optimize each page for a specific keyword phrase and that page has been indexed by the search engines. Then someone searching for that keyword phrase may find the page you optimized for that keyword phrase listed high in the results of the search engine. Thus making this page a doorway page to your website. Remember that every page can be a doorway page. That is why you always make sure that you write good text on every page. You never know where your next visitor is going in enter.

I was under the impression that doorway pages were a no-no. Doesn't google ban you if they find out your doing that?

Doorway pages that are created for the sole purpose of getting listed high in the search results are what the engines do not like. They are created solely to manipulate the engines and provide no value to the surfer. These pages usually implement various spam techniques and are not designed for human viewing. Sometimes the spider views one page and a surfer actually views a seperate page. They generally do not resemble your site at all and most commonly are text-only. The sentences, or phrases, usually do not make any sense.

The type of page you want to build are ones that are designed for human viewing. The text should be keyword / keyphrase rich, but still make sense when read. Most often, these pages resemble your web site. Surfers and spiders always view the same page. These pages do not contain common spam techniques. (Redirecting, cloaking, hidden text, keyword stacking, keyword stuffing, promoting unrelated keywords...) Sometimes, these pages will be accepted into the directories if they provide exceptional value to the surfer. These pages are hosted on the same server as your main site.
