Hello,

I built a site a while back that uses the medical acronym for something, but its more commonly referred to by its name.

Here's the question.. I created the site without any of the knowledge I have now knowing that the other term was more popular.. I did however buy the other domain.

Now since the sites describe the same content, I just want to activate the other domain with similiar or the same content.

Is this possible or will google notice? What length do I have to go to for gooogle to recognize them as independent? Does it go beyond design and hosting IP?

Thanks,
anx

Google will definitely notice. If both the sites are exact same then google will not index the newer site and the new site will incur a Grey-bar penalty.

Best option is to change the design and then sufficiently tweak the content IMHO. HTH.
