Wordtracker/Overture Situation

Anyone know the status?

Wordtracker right now can't
get competitive results from Overture.
It's been over a week and wordtracker
has a message saying, "Don't email
support about the problem".

Well, I signed up for a year at wordtracker
right before they started having this
problem because they were able to get this
competitive analysis which was extremely
helpful when used in conjunction with
the tools over at <snip>

Does anyone here know what's going on with
Wordtracker to get this resolved?

In addition to the note saying that support know about the problem there is also a note saying that they are discussing a solution with Overture, but how long those talks will go on for is anyone's guess.

Although you are right that it was a useful feature of the service, it's not Wordtrackers fault that the goal posts have been moved.

I'm sure a well respected service like Wordtracker will be able to negotiate terms with Overture to get the facility restored or an alternative in place, but obviously Wordtrackers benefit is the fact it is a 60 day historical database with results on a rolling basis, whereas Overture's historical are often 4-6 weeks old by the time they release the results so I would be less inclined to worry that much about this feature being restored.

Actually, I have a work-around that
gets me the same info.

This is probably old news by now but Wordtracker appears to have worked out a solution with Overture as I have been getting Overture data from Wordtracker for a week or two (maybe longer). You just have to type in a little 4 digit code when you request Overture competition data.
