keywords effectiveness index

Hello all,

I am a relative novice to the optimisation game and get great educational value from these forums. Ive heard a lot about 'keyword effectiveness' recently and in particular the index that works out formulas on the perfromance levels of keywords.

Does anyone have any general advice about how to use and get the most out of these valuable formulas? Or is it best left to the experts?!
