I designed a website in January/February but I’m not in any of the search engines. I have submitted them to quite a few but still cannot be found. I have been advised to update my keywords and have been recommended to a service called ‘Wordtracker’. I have tried the demo but I find it really complicated - has anyone else used it?
Anyway, my question is, does anyone have any suggestions on how to choose keywords? Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Dave.
When I write a new site I usually spend alot of time checking out the competion. See what terms they are listed for etc.
As for not being listed. The best way is to get some incoming links from other sites. Even if you only have a friend link to you from an internal page on a site that is in google etc it will be the quickest way.

Check number of searches, and assess the competition, making the choices from evaluating those two factors. It's easier and more practical to start with the less competitive when a site is new and work up.
