I am not sure which one's do it, but I know that there are only a few that will count the "S" as different from "s".

I don't know if one is more beneficial than the other.

Alta Vista used to give different results dependant on Capitalisation. Not sure if they still do as I havn't tested it for a long time.

Wow - that got me thinking.

I have been happily telling everyone that AV differentiates between caps and lower case.

I just checked on 'web design' and 'Web Design' and there seems to be no difference.

When did that change?

I can't recall when exactly it happened, but It's been awhile. I can remember a time when case sensitivity was important. Nowadays, I don't think you can find any major engine that returns different results based on whether or not the searcher used the shift key. It just doesn't produce quality results. Most people search lower case, while most document titles are capatalized.

around the beginning of summer (?) AV started changing everything - just before the notice regarding regional. for the life of me I cannot think of an se that differintiates between caps and lower anymore
