Keyword Analysis Levels?

Hi, just wondering how many levels of analysis you would go to in KWA? What's considered an acceptable level of keyword analysis in SEO? Do you do an initial keyword search, confirm with the client what keywords are relevant or targeted for their business and then search for keywords that are relevant to that search term? What i'm really trying to get at is where do you stop analysing for relevant keywords 'cause you could continue searching forever!

You should try and put a stop to it after a couple of rounds of back-and forth, otherwise some clients will end up taking advantage of the situation and continue wanting to change keywords. Also, if you do a good job picking the keywords, and can back it up with good reasoning when you present it to the client then it is very likely that they'll accept your recommendations.
