I'm undecided on which of 2 phrases to use - is there a reliable way to see which one most people would search for please?

Wordtracker results are reasonable estimation of what you might expect the search numbers to be.
You could also try Google Suggest, and see if either phrase shows up in there. If one of them doesn't then you know which one not to use. :)

As from situation i can guess that both phrases are atmost same probably if its the case then optimize you page for both of the phrases just mix them up in the content.
