I bought tool that will generate permutations, and it does the job, but I have to do a lot of manual column-swapping (there are buttons for this, but I stil l have to hit the buttons) and it's really not that convenient. It sure beats typing all the keywords, though!
The real answer, of course, is for the CPC advertising programs to use late 20'th Century techniques, and support Regular Expressions or some-such, instead of requiring us to enter hundreds of keywords where one clear expression would do.
In the mean time, I'd like something that will take some alternation/permutation grammar, and generate the keywords to upload to these dinosaurs.
Other useful features would be premutations, phrase/exact match generation, and number ranges. Sure I could dream-up some more.
I think the intent of the below should be self-evident:
[match:b,p,e]premute([1990-2005]),(red¦blue¦yellow), widget[s])
This single line would generate several hundred keywords much more easily than using the simple permutation tools.
I realize the TOS won't allow people to reply with the name of a product. So, reply with "yes - there are several, and they are broadly known as "xyz tools" or "I've heard of one" and send me a sticky-mail, or "no, never heard of this, but I want one".
I have two motivations, here. I want one. And if there isn't one, I may write it myself and sell it. Seems to be a need. I don't want to duplicate efforts if the market is already flooded with keyword macro-expanders.
It strikes me that there may be tools intended for other purposes, as well, that might be adapted.
