Hi,

I recently visited a site URl: <snip>

After Checking the Meta Tags I found apart from the usual TITLE, Description & Keywords it had a tag known as <META NAME="dc.Keywords">

Could somebody throw some light on this and for what purpose it is?

& is it possible to promote .aspx pages & get listed in Google.

Thnx
BEn

Search for "Dublin Core"

(also, this doesn't seem to be the best forum for this post)

There is really no need for that tag. There is also a D.C. description and object type tag that some webmasters choose to use in their HEAD section.

My advice - stick with the usual tags (ei. title, description, keywords, robots, etc.)

More advice - find a meta content forum or thread and you will have more responses!

Maybe try here: [webmasterworld.com...]

Google does not traditionally work well with dynamic url's or long string with #? etc.

aspx - it is possible to promote this via sitemaps program and PPC. The shorter url strings will get indexed and usually have PR.

Good Luck!
