Two Questions:

When you're optimising for a topic on your website would it be best to optimise for all your words on every page, or optimise for different word on different pages, spreading the load, so to speak?

If you're optimising for several words on one page, how many is considered too many? In other words, when would dilution set in, if this does indeed happen? Some say three keyphrases per page is enough, some say five or six. Some have primary keyphrases and secondary keyphrases, some only have a small list.

What do people think is the best method?

Hi, lancer. It's best to pick one KW phrase per page to optimize for. If the phrase is competitive, however, you'll want to build a bunch of pages closely related to support this page. You'll want to build a "mini theme" for this KW phrase. Give this [searchengineworld.com] a quick read and it should make it more clear. Good luck!

I agree with prior post. Optimize 1 page for 1 keyprase at time.
