Have you analysed your log files? In particular look for refers with search queries from the appropriate search engines. Analog, which is free, can do this for you automatically.

Hi, stevelibby. I'm not really sure what you mean by 'main search'. Are you trying to find out why your referrers have not increased? Could you explain a little more? Thanks.

i have now got high results on a few searches that i would think were popular, via a update that was done last night and with the new update tonight on google.
It appears that they are not the best searches but i believe are important to that category as all big names are there?
so what i need to find out is what is being most searched, any ideas?

OK, I think understand now: ) Have you tried any of the keyword search tools? They are not exact, but it's a nice place to start.

Josk compiled a nice list that still works today -

Thank you for that , however some of the links dont work after you have entered a search. (Uk ones)
Helpfull but not quite what i want though, i want to know what the most searched was today relating to used cars?
How and where can i find this? Does google do something other than the adwords? but shows how many searches are done?

i have just searhed on overture for used cars...it came up with
1090797 car used! Did this many people reallly search car used 1090797 many times?

No, a lot of those searches automated. Only use those numbers as a guidline. If you want daily numbers, I think the best way is through an AdWords account. I only have limited experience with that, sorry. I'm sure many others here can answer that...
