Use of brand name for key words

Hi,

I have started optimization for a site, which has got good offline brand image & to start with, the site is attracting large traffic for its brand name and is No one in google for brand associated keywords. can anyone suggest how we can leverage its brand positioning on search engines.

Start with a strong Title Tag on the index page, along with optimized text for that phrase.

The next thing would be to collect a few anchor text backlinks with the brand name as the text. That should get you started...

Also - set up pages optimised for and linked to with the relevant link text for any common misspellings of your brand name. You should probably also try to grab any domains that are misspellings of your brand name.
