Singular and plural keywords on page

But what about opposite keywords

When I write a page, I try to inculde singular and plural keywords, for example widget and widgets.

Lately I've started to include related words using ~searches, for example ~widget returns GUI, so I try to work this into my page. I don't know if this helps my rankings, but it might in the future?

My question is about words with opposite meanings which are still related.

Widgets won't work here, so if my page is about 'start' I include 'stop' or if its about 'left' I include 'right', etc. Will this help searchengines to determine what my page is about, or will it as I suspect confuse them?

Any opinions?

As long as we're of the opinion that adding related tilde search phrases is of benefit (at least for Google searches), I'd put them in ... in moderation. A single mention of an opposite on a page isn't going to mess up your theming.
