How to optimize for "making widgets" and "widget makeing"

Is it best to do it on the same page or seperate pages.

As I look at my logs I see that both the terms "widget making" and "making widgets" are popular. I don't have a page optimized for either key phrase yet. The traffic is coming from PPC.

I want to capture both phrases. Do I need to create and optimize page(s) for each term. Google brings up different search results for each term, so my gut tells me I should optimize for each seperately.

The information is basically the same. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

depending on the type of site, you could have an 'article' or 'tip section' on each .. different dates so that you don't have article 1 being "making widgets" and article 2 being "widget makeing"

This is not really a black and white subject.

For the sake of usability, I would optimize one page for both terms.

For the sake of SERPS I would optimize 1 page for each term and link to it from related pages.

I do this on a few pages and it seems to work pretty good. Just don't trip the duplicate content filter and you should be o.k.

I ended up creating two seperate pages. It just took a while to think of two different but usefull ways of addressing the keywords.

I'm interested to see how it works.
Thanks for your input.
