Or are there equally good sources, or even better?

I havent found any real alternatives - is that because there arent any?

I've wasted a great deal of time and money trying to find a better service. Haven't found anything better than WT yet.

You know, before I opened up this thread, I said to myself... it's going to be a new user and it's really a plug for WordTracker disguised as a question. And you know, I think I was right.

AdWords' keyword tool versus Wordtracker for Google SEO
[webmasterworld.com...]
An oldie but goodie... If I remember correctly, it's talking about an old version of the Google AdWords tool. The new Google tool still doesn't give numbers, but its phrase list is apparently in order and is based on actual Google search. WT's limitations are well described.

The best keyword tool?
[webmasterworld.com...]
Compares Overture, Google, and WT. I'd add to what's said that Overture's skewing probably happens most on the most competitive searches, because those are the ones that are most often monitored. WT's skewing probably happens most on the least frequently searched terms, because of its small sample size. (Note the new user jumping in on the second post in this thread to praise WT and then essentially never appearing on the forums again. ;) )

Actually, no. I am a new user, true, but not remotely affiliated with WT. I just think they are somewhat expensive and seems like it could have better or more sophisticated methods/tools.

Thanks for the threads, I will check them out right now. I hope to learn the best tools out there, I'll be promoting a couple new sites soon.

In retro, I can see how one might think I was promoting WT!
