To find good keywords or a niche ..

reading a lot but still feel not enough

i have read through a lot about finding a niche on the internet.. .. mostly the ideas are as below:
1.preapre a spread sheet
2.check demand and supply with overture and #*$!
3.check competition by doing related search and link: command in SE
i tried work out on this for a few months and i find the output are not satisfying. am i missing something here? any personal sharing on the niche searching would be highly appreciated.

Well since you asked...yes! What are your interests or hobbies? What area do you have the most knowledge in? What are you passionate about? The better you know a certain subject, the easier it will be to find a niche in that area. I'd like to recommend this thread. Lots of good discussion about this from some wise members here...
