Overture ratio to Google

So I've used the Overture Keyword Tool, and my main keyword gets 50,000 searches a month.

I know this is not gospel, can vary etc, but I was wondering...

Do we know roughly what to multiply that by to get the number of Google searches?

2? 10? 0.8? 500?

I don't even know if it's possible for us to know, if so what would be people's guesses?

Thanks,

LC

Generally it is not possible:
Overtures tool groups
Singular and plural
Words with similar meanings

Results for "blue widget" might break down to:
"blue widget"
"blue widgets"
"turquoise widget"
"turquoise widgets"
...

If you were able to break it down it would likly be highly dependant upon the industry/keywords. From adwords (unthrottled, exact match, USA and Canada) reporting, one of our ambiguous terms gets a tiny fraction of the impressions it should ala overture.

As an extremely generalized and dangerous rule of thumb, OV will give you more impressions then AdSense when dealing with any non-super-niche terms.
