I am looking for a tool that will remove a space at the end of every keyword or phrase in a list. Google's sandbox keyword tool leaves an extra space after every keyword. Has anyone know of such a tool?

Try Edit Plus 2 [editplus.com ]
In a new page (ctrl+n) simple paste your list.

You can press “ctrl+q” then “OK”
Then you can use your keyboard and press
“End” “Back Space” “down arrow”
then hit “ctrl+q” again

now navigate to “tools” “record” then “playback multiple”

select ‘1” or press “OK”

now simply enter the number of lines you have.

This is obviously not the technical solution as I’m sure some programming types here have little scripts to do the same, but it is as good as a Marketing Guy can do :)

Hold up, don't you guys think that google have programmed spiders to ignore the white space and only use the comma as the separator?

Did anyone ever figure out how to use the =TRIM() function to remove the spaces?

Use this in Excel cell B1 where the keyword is in cell A1:

=right(A1,len(a1)-1)

Job done.

If your question is in reference to adwords, just add the keywords with the space at the end. Adwords will automatically delete the space for you!

It is very easy in Excel. Just open the file in Excel and it will automaticly import it. Put Trim(A1) into B1 then grab the bottom right of B1 and drag it down to the last kw. Click on the B at the top to select all the cells then paste into notepad. You can also import it into a new access table. Access will not allow a space at the end of a record.

vanderbolt is correct. Don't worry abt it.

I had considered adding keywords with a trailing space on purpose in adwords (as a misspelling), and they automatically removed the trailing space.

I'm not sure if I can mention it here, but I have writen such a tool that does more than just trimming spaces. Best of all, the Beta version is free :^) I won't give my D/L URL here, just in case it breaks the rules.
