Has anyone out there bought a keyword from realnames? I was thinking about it but I don't know how many people actually use the navigation bar to search. Is there a way to tell? Do your logs tell you the referer was real names?

The bottom line, are realnames worth the money?

Waste of time. You are not even guaranteed to get in.

Good for staking out turf in your efforts to secure a trademark.

i just signed up for one of the $49 ones as its similar (space missing between words)to a competitors who advertise theirs so hopefully we'll get the guys who miss out the space between the two word keyword!

it'll also get rid of the coldcallers who phone me up every couple of days trying to sell me one for £495 !! once i tell em i bought one for $49 :)

nah - money better spent elsewhere. But I think the effectiveness of it really depends on your market. If your market is AOL user types it might be worth it. if your market is tech - forgetaboutit
