Improving a page's PR . . .

How can you measure it, and what factors exist?

I have recently watched my PR fall on a few of my sites, but cannot understand WHY!

If you are looking to improve your page rank, how would you go about doing it, and what factors present themselves with the most impact?

Also... How do you acquire the numerical value of page rank through Google?

Any help is much appreciated.

The Google toolbar will allow you to measure the page rank of your sites.

As to improving PR, you need to go about building up a set of quality high pagerank links.

I understand how the toolbar works, and that the more green I see in it, the better. But specifically speaking, how do you acquire the numerical values of PR?

Also, are you saying that a decent link popularity campaign is the *only* way to boost page rank?

I find that tough to believe seeing as Google enjoys being so established...

Eric, if you uninstall the toolbar and re-install the new one, then putting your mouse over the green bar will give you a numerical value.

And yes, reciprocal links are the only thing that will affect your PR.
