Hello Friends,

I am planning to launch a Website for UK.

So does it make any difference if I host this domain and site with USA Data Center?

I mean does it make any difference in Search Engine and Search Engine Optimization point of view?

I am fully dependent on SE for traffic to my site.

It definetly helps. Hosting on UK server will help your UK site.

Getting links from UK sites will help more.

So try to be "UK" from all angles

I have had UK site on US server for about 5 years and it has always come up on UK results if you go to UK Google and ask for pages from UK.

So no problems

i would add...

if you are using an extension other than .co.uk and you want to appear in the UK filtered results of google.co.uk then ensure your IP address is registered to a UK company/host.

also, one thing to bear in mind is that in using a UK IP address you will inevitably suffer in search.msn.com results (from my experience), but should be strong in search.msn.co.uk results.
