keyword in Domain cctlds vs tlds

Whats ranks best a cctld like widget.cctld or mywidget.tld?

I just have a delima or thought so I wanted to make my first post here. I read regularly so is time to ask:)

lets make a site and promote it excpecting visitors from the entire world, do not care from where.

You do not have so much budget,time knowledge so make it in English language.

You need a domain for widget.tld.

You found mygoodwidget.com available and
widget.some_european_country_cctld available.

So if you define <html lang="en"> how much can you do if someone searches for widget?

Of cource lets assume that both
mygoodwidget.com
widget.some_european_country_cctld
are the same optimized for keywords,
same time registered and in play,
both informative with good content,
both in english.

I want to hear your opinion.
Worth to go with the cctld witch have
only the widget in the domain name or
for english results you just loosing your time and
you never goona and up in top ten for keyword: widget
no matter how better you are in seo terms from
mygoodwidget.com

Personally I think that if you use the cc tld as your main domain, you will be limiting your presence in searches outside of that country. That doesn't really happen with dot com's so much. You can always redirct the cc tld to the .com so that you at least pick up the type-in traffic. My 2 cents.
