Best Practic Revenue Generating Organic Search Sites

How to get ranked higher

More and more these days, i am having a hell of a time getting my sites ranked that have ANY sort of purching capabilities. I work for a product marketing company that focus' in Business to consumer products.

We do have glamor "Branded" sites that are very heavy but professional. These sites, however containing a fair amount of content, tend not to get ranked high except for KW's that are a direct and specific tie to the product, IE product name.

Google espeically seems to have really really cracked down on any organic search site that has any intention of generating revenue. So my question is, hows the best way to get these sites ranked higher?

A couple of ideas that i am messing around with are

-- Creating content heavy sites for that product only, that have CTA's in image form
-- Creating "Editorial" sites that come off like someones "opinion" or "article" that are bias to our products, but also talk about competitors and link to the branded sites, which lead to purchases.

Is anyone else going through this as well?

I can relate to your situation. I believe all the old "tricks" will work less and less. Real quality content, aiming to become the main authority site for your subject is the way to go in my opinion.

i agree because surprised myself my site jumped up to top 10 on G out of nowhere because i used some original and careful written content
