I was just reading the post reffered to, almost identical to an o'rielly article I read about 2 years ago (a few words have been changed, a little extra content)The best thing you can do is develop alot of 1 way links to your site. The links should be text and contain various keywords you would like to be listed for. In addition, your site should have similar content to which you want to be listed for, as well as the site that links to you. No Secrets, just more, higher quality, more relevent links then your competitors and you will beat them. You don't have to have a HUGE SITE with hundreds of thousands of pages (although that helps) You just have to have high quality content (however much) that people will natrually want to link to. From there, get an adsense account and promote it for a month. I've used this simple plan to develop many sites that achieve PR5 within the next google update
