I appreciate you cannot advertise within these forums - but can anyone recommend a good, free and simple to use "search this site" programme without the annoying advertising that often accompanies such engines?

I have spent a lot of time looking through the forum postings - but I can't see anything which covers this subject....so I apologise in advance if this topic has been covered previously.

why not use google or any other search engine the way that [webmasterworld.com...] does?

Perhaps I didn't make myself totally clear on this issue. I mean "search this site" so that visitors to my own websites can search within its pages.

For example, if they want to find a song with "guitar" in the title, they an search my own site by typing in that word.

You with me now?

Did you try what defcube suggested? Works for me.
You can get the same code directly from Google [google.com...]

jbinbpt - I think you have provided exactly what I want.

I appreciated the input from defcube, but it was a suggested link I needed and I will certainly try that Google one.

Thanks both of you!
