I see some webmasters from bigger sites are here, so here is my question to get more feeling about how long it takes to be god:

1. How many unique visitor per day do you have?
2. What is your site related (cars, games, books...)?
3. How long is your site on-line?
4. How big is your income from site?

I'm not one of the bigger site webmasters, but what the hec.

>1. How many unique visitor per day do you have?

About 500, excluding bots and logspammers.

2. What is your site related (cars, games, books...)?

Caves, caves, and more caves.

3. How long is your site on-line?

Three and a half years.

4. How big is your income from site?

Not enough ;-) Actually, it really helps with funding from government and NGO sources. We also get ecotourism business out of it, etc, and a commercial outfit gave us 600 USD for some links to their site for a year recently (I want more of those). Our site is about as distant from a Made For Adsense site as you can get, though, so it's very different from some of the members here.

I was averaging about 400,000 hits per day until I lost ranking in google, now it has dropped to anywhere from 50 to 1500 users per day. Even at 400,000 hits per day, it really depends on what you are marketing. I have around 3000 linking in sites, not really related. To be a God would really depend on if your website is recieving targeted traffic.

With one site most of the in-bound links are really non-related. It is a search engine so it is harder to promote because the search term is pretty vague. Plus I offer a service that doesn't really require a sale.

On the second hand for my new site I am only aquiring links from related sites with simulair content. In this way I am hoping on allowing this site to be targeted to the people looking for what my site has to offer.

My point is I think it depends on a lot of different factors.

5. How many contents do you have?
Very hard to define- 90% of the site is dynamically generated.
~500 what you might call information only pages (plus many are translated into other languages)
~400 destinations, some have multiple pages, plus link to local hotels, tours, transportations, etc.
~150 hotels, each with description pages, events, policies
~50 image pages
- thousands of message board posts

5. How many contents do you have?

About 400 pages of straight html, with most of them fairly long and having very unique text.
