'Buying a page' on an established site

How to do that technically?

Hi All,

I would like to have my one-page sales website rank for that competitive keyword. I've contacted the website owner which ranks at the 5th. place for that keyword and his website has nothing to do with that keyword but he has a page that is listed there and is really not important for him. I've offered him a deal that he will host my sales page *under his own domain* so my webpage will rank for that keyword, and he agreed (instead of his page that currently shows).

My question is, what is the best way to do this? Should he create a page on his master domain like [domain.com...] and place on his homepage a link to that page using the word 'keyword' as the link title? Is it the most immediate way? Is there a way to rank maybe higher than the 5th. place if we optimize this page specifically for that keyword?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Happy Holidays,
Eyal

He should create a page and link like you said. Put the kw you want in the title and on the page several times. (not spammy) Put it in an h1 tag as well. You will probably rank higher than 5 if you do this.
