I have 4 main key words I want to optimize for. they are all 'leads' related. All visitors will be looking for leads to buy it is just they use different terms to describe essentially the same product.
Do I.....
1) Make pages that are leads.exampleleads.com (there would be 4 different leads)
or
2) make pages that are www.exampleleads.com/leads1 2 3 or 4
Thanks for your help.

But, different kw's meanig essentially the same thing may get caught out be spam filters anyway. Having a page on "bluish widgets" and another on "widgets, blue" won't fool too many SE's anymore.
If it's all a bunch of related words describing the same thing, you're thinking too much in terms of 'how to fool the SE's' and you're likely to get burned IMHO.
Try to mix up the kw's and get one page to rank for all of 'em. It can be done. Trust me. ;-)
I assure you I am not trying to fool anyone.. Not that knowledgeable :) But I do appreciate you sharing with me that it may be looked at as an attepmt to fool them. The last thing I want to do is get black-balled by Google.
I will give an attempt at getting the kw all on one page.
DO I use them all in the title of the page? What is your suggestion?
THis is all fairly new to me and I apologize if I am asking stupid questions. I am just trying to get a handle on thei SEO stuff.
Thanks

I don't know how many pages your site is, or is meant to be, but here's one caveman's opinion...
IF the kw phrases are very close, like my example above about two different ways to talk about "blue widgets," then you're probably better off doing that on one page. However, IF you can reasonably justify to yourself that the phrases are really different in meaning, you might be able to stretch into more than one page per kw phrase.
If you think it's a stretch, letting your personal radar be your guide, then keep 'em on one page. Here's my test: If I were sitting at a table with the head of G or Y or MSN search, would I be willing to show these pages to them w/o much fear of losing my site?
;-)
As for the page titles and things of that nature, I might try titles like: "Find blue widget leads. Buy leads for those in the market for bluish widgets."
