hi all,

we have launched a website of round 3k pages about one month back & are doing all the possible ways to promote it. However in google it shows 30 backlinks & just 120 pages indexed. Can anyone tell what could be the possibilities behind it.

Hi Minii

New site launch. Be prepared for a bumpy ride! Minimum 6 to 12 months.

I too have a new site going on 11 months and let me tell you there are many factors along the way that will make you want to pull your hair out!

Be careful about who you link to and who links back to you. New jagger update has changed alot of things regarding links.

My best suggestion would be to do the things that are best for the end user and you should be fine.

But be patient, Rome was not build in a day! :)

Do your link:url on Yahoo instead of others.
Yahoo needs the http:// part of the URL. -Larry

Google knows about backlinks, but doesn't show them all so there's no way to tell. All they'll show you is a small random sampling.
