Linking to my online store from another site

Can I get banned or penalized for this?

I have an online store and want to increase traffic by creating another site that points to the online store when the order button is selected. The reason for this is to keep one central database for customer.
Can my online store get banned or penalized for this?

Firstly, if site A links to site B, and site has some form of penalty then site B will not be affected.

We can control who we link to ,but not who links to us.

This is assuming site A has a penalty or is from a bad neighborhood.
