I have successfully optimized my vbb forum to all html pages like webmasterworld forum. And I have also optimized it to unique keywords and description every thread. Now, I am in the middle of deciding what to do next:

1. Buy text links from high PR web sites and just give it like, 2 or 3 months to see if any effec?

2. Submit as many thread urls as I can to search engine?

3. Do nothing, just wait?

Can anyone recommend?

Make sure there are no dual urls anywhere on the forum first of all, that means that each page has one and only one link url address pointing to it. Sometimes things like 'next page' will not be correct, check carefully.

Start filling the forum with fresh, quality content. Ideally get some friends to help. If you get good content, that's very topical, eventually people will start linking to you. But seeding a forum is time consuming.

Getting a good link or two definitely can't hurt, but if there's no content it won't help. Nobody will post on an empty forum.
