How do I find where I rank?

Hi all,

I have been reading various articles in the forum and quite often people mention how many of their pages are listed by google or yahoo. How do they find this info out?

Also there seems to be alot of talk about backlinks? What are these and how do I find out if I have them for my site?

Hi kiwi

There are number of online tools available to calculate your rank, and also to count your incoming links, software that determines the total number of pages indexed by Google.
You can make a google saerch to find these tools.

Next, backlinks are those links which points back to your site usually from another site.
