Are they out of business?

As many of you already know, this site "whois.net" was great for looking up avialble domain names with the "key" word found to the left, right or anywhere.

As of today I can't get to the site. is there another site that has this feature or does anyone know when they will be back online.

Checked last night, looks like they are updating the site.

Whois is non-for profit and not a business. If I remember correctly they are supported by companies that purchase IP blocks.

Thanks for the background info. It has always been an useful tool.

Anyway, I couldn't get to it last week either. The home page came up, but that was it. Now, "The server can't be found"...

Sorry, I was confusing whois.net with the following:
[arin.net...]

I just went to whois.net and it was up and running so maybe the problem is something else though.
