"THEMEING" your webpage correctly? And use of kws for a specific page.

Useing only specific kws for a specific page? Please help:)

Hey fellas:)

I have been studying the "themeing " of sites. I was wondering if you could answer some questions.

Well,...

Q.1. Say for example there's a "main topic" page on "widgets reports".

So my question is: Does this specific topic page "widget reports" *only* allowed to have keywords about "widget reports" and *no other keywords* that are *off* topic for this individual page?

Q.2. Or can their be other "off topic" keywords placed on this page to have more hits coming in for other kws on the entire site?

Is it ok based on structuring a webpage with the "theme" for a sites individual webpage?

Assuming that theming exists, search engines would look at many factors. First the engines would look at keywords and related words (likely placing more importance on text towards the top of the page). Then the engines would look at inbound and outbound links. Having some off target keywords is probably not going to hurt you. It might even help make your page look more natural and less optimized.

If i set-up a webpage on a main topic such as
"widget reports" will this page only be optimized for the "sub-topics" keywords list?

So,...would i *only* list the sub-topic kws such as "xyz reports" on this page?

If you are using "optimized" as another word for "ranking", then you will rank for whatever you get links for. On page factors carry little weight in the search engine rankings.

When i mentioned "optimized" i meant using *only* the *sub-topic keywords on the page.
For example:

The webpage on the *main topic* "widget reports" would be sprinkled *only* with the *sub-topic* keywords "xyz reports" and no other *off* topic "main topic"
or "sub-topic" keywords.

For example:

<title>Widget reports</title>
<h1>Widget reports</title>

<body>
<p>
blah blah blah...
sub-topic keyword here>>xyz reports...
......blah...xyz reports...etc...
</p>

this may sound really corny but dont make a page around a search engine make it around your users
