optimise 2nd domain

hi,

Please can any one suggest & guide me ...as to will .in domain do me a great job for keywords searched with india than the .co.in domain & how?

for eg :
web designer india --which domain will do a good job?
web designer mumbai --which domain will do a good job?
web designer --which domain will do a good job?

Basically I am a web designer in mumbai india & I have a domain .co.in where i promote my services there..I rank quiet well for all the keywords in mumbai & now i am optimising the same keywords for india & then will be doing for general keywords on the same site.

I actually want to target audience out of india..so I will have to go in for keywords without the state & country specification ...right? But i am totally confused as which domain will do me a better job & how?

The domain name is only a small part of SEO. Having keyword1-keyword2-keyword3.com may help you rank for Yahoo and MSN but won't make too much difference on Google. Concentrate on more important factors such as:

- Links (preferably on-topic) with descriptive anchor text.
- Web page titles should contain your keywords.
- Articles should contain your keywords in various forms.
- Use h1/h2 tags for heading/sub-headings.
- Read this forum daily to learn dozens more...

I have been reading repeatedly on forums that now branding your site is in. Keywords in the domain name is passe'. Promote 'smitawhatever' as brand name.Keyphrases and optimization can be handled at tags level.barobar?
