Search engines hitting server problems?

Hello!

I have had problems with my server provider and my site have been down (not availible for visitors) 90% of the time during the last 2 weeks. My personal experience tells me that its not good for the search engine robbots if they cant find my site, but is it a reason to bann my site?

I will be greatful for any kind of answare, thoughts, construcitve critics etc.

It's unlikely that SEs will ban your site since they can't access it in the first place - server down.

However, it's a very good reason for you to look for a new host. What's the point in having a site which is unavailable 90% of the time?
