Do people still manually submit to SE's? Or just use inboud links to get crawled?

Hi alphacooler:)

From what i've read, you don't need to submit to engines. If you have other sites linking to you, you will get indexed. The only thing i can think of as far as for re-submitting to engines is if you are updating new info to test your new seo tactic.

I can't get indexed by Google, either. It's been two plus weeks since my site was up, and I have incoming links from some very high PR sites. I've also manually submitted my site but it doesn't seem to work. Yahoo et al indexed me days later, but Google seems intent on not spidering me. I can't figure it out at all.

It will take a while for google to pick up the links. 2 weeks isn't very long. You'll have to wait a bit longer I'm afraid :)

Yep, I've resigned myself to the wait. Anyways, I've submitted a sitemap, so hopefully that will help speed up the process. It's killing me because I know that if Google indexes me, my traffic will jump by 80% or more, because I have original content that would show up at or near the very top in SERPs even if I was sandboxed.
